Clare Crossley (Theatre Staff)

Clare started her career as an alternative comedienne after completing a Drama degree at King Alfred’s, Winchester. Her natural talent for comedy was honed by playing such iconic venues as The Meccano Club, the Zap club and the Canal Cafe. A product of the 80's alternative comedy scene she was also co-founder member of Kahoon Kahoon Theatre Company and worked with physical theatre practioners including Theatre de Complicite. Her comedy background and humourous take on life is greatly valued by the Drama department at Hurtwood House which she joined as a full-time teacher in 1993. Her main role in life now is mother of four which she juggles with part-time work at Hurtwood.
