Clive Wouters (Head of Performing Arts)

Clive read English at Cambridge and was active in the ADC and Footlights at the Edinburgh Fringe. He was also President of the Marlowe Society and a member of the Oxford and Cambridge Shakespeare Company touring to the USA. He was a professional actor for six years, which included work for the Redgrave Theatre Farnham, the Birmingham Rep, the Leicester Haymarket, the Bristol Old Vic and the National Theatre. He also appeared in television drama and comedy.
Preferring the full houses and regular engagements of classroom lessons he has been a teacher of drama for over 20 years, which have progressed from time at Watford Grammar School, where he expanded extracurricular drama, to Farnham College, where he developed the early A level Theatre Studies course, to Eastbourne College to be their first Director of Drama, to Hurtwood House to lead the best drama department in the country.
