Darren graduated from the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama in 1996 and was picked to be one of only three British students invited to take part in Cicely Berry's Voice video for the RSC in New York. He has since worked solidly as an actor, writer and comedian. A regular performer on the Armando Iannucci Shows (C4) Darren has also worked for Armando on One Free Hand (BBC), 2004 -The Stupid Version and several pilots and adverts.
Other television work includes playing Steve Johnson in Peter Kosminsky's Innocents, IT Crowd, Human Remains, Noah's Ark and had two series playing an over-earnest social worker on Holby City.
Darren theatre credits include three years at the Royal Shakespeare Company and involve many respected companies and professionals. Most notably, the National Theatre, Gate Theatre, Steven Berkoff, Stephen Poliakoff, Ed Hall, Adrian Noble and the Moscow Art Theatre's Kama Ginkas.
As a writer, Darren has written sketches and additional material for Bruiser (BBC) and the Armstrong and Miller Show.
He is a member of a collection of comics who helped satirist Nathaniel Tapley devise The Meeting for John Lloyd's Comedybox and who won the Parsec Award 2010 for best new podcast for the horror comedy In The Gloaming.
He regularly appears in comedy clubs as The Swanage Poet.
