Katie Crooks (Visiting Singing Tutor)

Katie was born in Cornwall and studied music at Exeter University where she specialised in classical singing and jazz. Katie has taught singing for 6 years while giving numerous performances with the Holst Singers, and opera companies in London. She also gives regular Jazz concerts with the Mark Wallace Jazz Trio, and is an accomplished pianist.

Since achieving her MA in musical theatre at GSA her credits include: Bobby in A Slice of Life (Bellairs Playhouse, Guildford and The New End Theatre, Hampstead); Anything Goes and Mort (Yvonne Arnaud, Guildford); Oh! What a Lovely War (The Guildford Theatre Company); When Midnight Strikes (Bellairs Playhouse, Guildford) and Me and My Girl (The London Palladium) and A Midsummer Night's Dream and Sense and Sensibility (Chapterhouse Theatre Company).
